Barcelona faces Manchester United in the Champions League quarterfinals today but one news that has been making the rounds is that of United forward Marcus Rashford. The 21-year-old has been embroiled in contract negotiations with the club and has yet to agree to a contract extension.

Barcelona are thought to be monitoring his situation as the Spanish club believes that he is the ideal replacement for Luis Suarez. The Uruguay international is currently 32 years of age and has shown signs of ageing this season.
Several players have been linked to the Nou Camp with Eintracht Frankfurt forward Luka Jovic one of the players. Barcelona are understood to have put an end on their interest for the player as there are doubts whether he can translate such good form on a higher level.
Rashford has no problems as he has been performing for the biggest club in England since his teenage years. he also proved decisive in the Round of 16 victory at PSG where he scored the winning penalty for the Red Devils
Barcelona would be looking to test the resolve of Manchester United by offering a bid of around £100million which is astonishing for a player with 12 months left on his contract. Rashford is a United boy all through and it looks unlikely that he would leave the club as he has a deep connection to the club.
However, United will have to pay a premium for his services as he is currently one of the hottest young forwards in club football.
